When Pak Lah says that the BN government lost badly to the opposition because they underestimated the power of the bloggers in disseminating news and informations through internet, he was merely implying that, alas, if he had the chance to stop that through enactment of legislations to prevent the rakyat from communicating via internet, as what was obvious in the recent election that they have the full control and manupulation of TV media in favor of BN, they should have won handsomely.
Now, this joker comes out with the idea of creating a special segment on TV for bloggers to voice out their opinions to prove to the people the government's openness in dealing with Bloggers.What is the point of creating such a Blogger segment when the government and the pro government RTM have the full control of the TV channel on selection of guest bloggers and speakers?
What is the guarantee that some bloggers would not be speaking nonsence and sensitive issues which would provoke racial and religious tension ?
The suggestion of creating such a blogger segment is a waste of time and money and it is not neccesarily going to prove the openness of the BN government, instead , it is again the sheer political gimmicks of BN to fool the people.
It would only helps to prove the openness of the government when it listens and acts on the very problems of the people by being transparent and trustworthy and effective, so lets go to the basics, no more rhetoric and be straight forward.
