It is interesting to note that a Moroccan Muslim farmer's stunt in the North Africa raising pig farms and doing considerably well and the weird thing is that it has never been objected by local religious head of Muslim, the Iman.
As far as I am concerned, I thought the very vocabulary, pig or swine, is a pretty sensitive word and issue that a Muslim is forbidden to mention and it has never struck my mind in the least that even a Muslim can rear pigs for the consumption of other non-Muslims; really I am impressed by the article written by hankss which is very informative and ought to be shared by Muslims in Malaysia and Muslims worldwide.
What is the crux of the above issue and how do Malaysian Muslims view the breeding of swines by a Muslim in the context of the Koran(Muslim Bible)?
The holy Koran, in my best understanding, prohibits mainly eating pork, drinking alcohol, commiting adultery and womanizing, so is it against the muslim teachings that if a Muslim involves himself in raising a pig farm in Malaysian's context? If the answer is no, why there is still so much noises of protest by some Muslims and if the answer is affirmative, why a Muslim in other Muslim countries can breed pigs and it is allowed by local Iman?
What is the truth in the Muslim teachings regarding rearing pigs and its taboos and are Muslims being allowed to do so in Malaysia?
